I called Joe Donnelly’s local office today (574) 288-2780 and spoke with an office intern named Kelly. I told her about the hydroelectric plant South Bend had intended to build on the East Race back in the 1980’s.
I asked Kelly to ask Joe Donnelly if there was any money in the current Energy bill before Congress that could help fund the hydroelectric plant in South Bend.
I realize that Mr. Donnelly is very supportive of biofuels, however we now know that biofuels only increase greenhouse gas production.
I will report back on what Mr. Donnelly reports to me.
